Phew!  The rains came to the pacific northwest this weekend thanks to the remnants of tropical storm Lu Lu. Great name huh? Lu Lu sounds so threatening like "Fluffy" in my mind if they have to give a storm a name it should strike some fear like Lucifer or Mavis.  Ok I digress, the rains of the weekend kept me out of the garden and in the hobby room. Except for one side trip to the local HS. My wife was insistent I go so I went. At first she wanted me out of the house cause I was buggin her but when I got to the shop I found to my surprise my order paid for and a nice gift certificate awaiting me! Happy birthday indeed.  So I came home with quite a bag of goodies.

The layout tour is getting closer and seemingly faster after each day. I took stock of where I was at and spent all day Sunday cleaning up loose ends and odd tasks I'd put off cause they seemed like I would have time later, well later was yesterday.

I also took a few progress shots this last week here are a couple, first shot is from 1 month ago.

Nice!  It's coming together.   I've got a Doodlebug - just because it's so ugly (oops - I meant utilitarian).  I bought mine just because I'd like to ride around the local area in one.

I wish we could get more

I wish we could get more photos of our members layouts.  I personally find it fascinating and inspiring.

It looks great.
