I finally finished the feed mill. I didn't bother to add any details or refine things too much - a bit of roof, quick coat of paint, touch of weathering and I've deemed this project done. I can TOTALLY understand how one could become infinitely obsessed with hyper detailing a structure - its fun! However, pragmatism prevailed and I will 'suffer' with the building as is.
I think I'll add a little office to accompany the mill as it seems too desolate - needs a friend!
As promised, the latest pics...

Looking GREAT Michael!
Looks great!
Nice job, Michael. And done is when you declare it so!
The color is just right for the setting.
To quote Patrick Swayzee...
Ditto!

As always your models are
As always your models are looking absolutely fabulous. Is this the one that was done using Adobe Illustrator? If so, how about posting the file for the rest of us lazy bums.
Keep up the good work, Michael
Michael, That is a really
Michael,
That is a really nice setting. It does look abandoned, is that the idea?
Charles
Not quite abandoned...
Now it's really done...
I added an office building to the mill and I think it helps complete the scene - looks less abandoned!
Buzzrex - here's the link to the PDF file that I used to build the structure. Its not much - just enough for me to eek out the dimensions - hope you can find some use for it!

Michael,
May I use your feed mill PDF as a reference for a future project?
Yuppers
Of course! Go crazy.
Almost abandoned feed mill
Michael,
If I was a kid again, that is one place I'd do a lot of hanging out! Dad probably would have found it before me, as he was a good artist with charcoals and pastels, and scoured the countryside looking for things to draw. I'd have spent plenty of time at the mill, too. The mill is one great remberance of the good times dad and I had. With the fall leaves, I can just smell the mill now. (Sorry about sounding mushy!)
