Thankfully it is movable!

I am so glad that I decided to use the folding table, and not bolt the plywood down to the table. I discovered the other day that rain is leaking into my building and rotting old the old chipboard. I climbed a ladder to look at the roof, and found that some shingles are missing in various places. Since the wood is rotting away, and there is already some big holes in the wood I decided that it would be cheaper to move the layout inside of the carport if the building roof keeps rotting out. I did however grab a can of Great Stuff to patch the small holes, I would have done the bigger ones but the Great Stuff is too heavy to support itself in large amounts. The plan is in a couple months to clean out the carport, move the layout, and dismantled the building. Notice, I used the word dismantled instead of demonish. Since the 2"x4" are still in very good shape, the plan is to build a room in the carport so that a larger, perament layout can be built in the future. Since the current layout is being used as a learning experience I am not going to stop working on it. As a matter of fact, I have completed the first swicth. I have also completed the first curve which may lead to a tunnel. As of today, I laying the cork roadbed for the possible tunnel area. That is an overview of the trackwork completed as of yesterday.

Another reason to build a layout that can be transported without destruction!  Ugh!
