In the month since my last entry, I have torn up as much of the layout as I am going to. A small part remains that will be incorporated into the new design. This is the track that will be saved. (Not sure if the image is inserted)

I have also drawn about a dozen or so plans and I think I finally have something that I am satisfied with. The track plan has been transfered to the table which for me means that I put the 11" by 8" sheet of paper with the plan printed on it and laid it on the table. The new plan, like the old one, will have 2 separate continuous running loops with an interchange track. For now it will be wired for DC but I will add feeders for an eventual transfer to DCC. Not really sure when that will happen.

I know in my last blog entry I was complaining about the helix being difficult to clean. I am going to add a helix but with a better design so track cleaning will be easier. Not really sure how yet but I'm working on it. The reason for the helix is that I want another high wooden trestle about 9" high and that is the only way to get the track down to ground level.

I am now in the process of getting some track laid. Some of it is permanant and some just to get the kinks worked out in the design. I need to fit existing elevations in with the new plan. Well, back to work!!
