Hi everyone,

I somehow stumbled upon the Dremel site and discovered they had a saw attachment. Living in an apartment, smaller is better so this seems like something which would be useful.

Coupled with their router table I think most of my sawing needs would be covered.

That is, of course, if these things were useful and not garbage. Has anyone used these and is willing to share their opinions?

Thanks!

[Mod note: I couldn't get the links to work but when I used them directly they work ok! Not sure what is going on but here are the two URL in case the links above continue not working! - BDC]

[Kashirigi's note: I originally used BBCode which parsed as relative URLs. Switching to using TinyMCE seems to have fixe the problem. And I lost 3 points!]

I have used both tools......

.......and find them to be marginally capable to do the tasks as advertised.

The saw attachment will only cut to a depth of .25 inch.  It is just as easy for me to use a razor saw and miter box for any cuts that small. In addition, using the saw attachment is freehand cutting, therefor difficult to control accurately.

The router table is a little too flimsy for my taste. I have chosen to use the plunge router attachment instead.  I rarely have need to do routing so it works well for me.
