Micro Machines vs N-scale?

Be aware, construction equipment is a lot more forgiving than road vehicles.
The Norscott construction vehicles are wildly out of scale for the indicated prototype, but they are within the realm of possibility for other versions.
A 30' long x 12' wide convertible is a bit much.
Caveat emptor. = Bring a scale ruler.

These items mysteriously vanished from shelves approximately 3 years ago, so as GNFA10 says, if you can find these items, and they are suitable for your purposes, buy them remembering, as Bob has already said, to use your scale ruler before you buy.
They are eminently passable as 'background' vehicles, and can be used as foreground items so long as you chose the ones you use, place them carefully and be very careful about how you place the 'people' you are using on the layout around them.
Overall, they do make acceptable models, take acrylic paint easily, and are relatively cheap (or were when they were being sold through the toy shops).
Hope that this helps.

I posted a pic in my album (it was showing as newest image in the home page) that shows 2 cars available but neither is exactly 1:160, but they work, just not together.......the "small" convertibles doors are level with the roof of the "big" american sedan, which looks a little odd. The blue car is a micro machine. use the n scale figures for comparison
[Admin note] A link would be nice.

Wow. I grew up with Micro Machines twenty years ago. I figured they'd have given way to video games entirely by now. I haven't seen one for years, but I remember still having them when I started in N scale fifteen (?) years ago and thinking even at that age they didn't scale out right. Correctly scaled N scale vehicles aren't cheap, but they really do make a difference
