What's uppppppppppppp!

THESE are the good ole days of model railroading! All the equipment that is available and getting more all the time! Woo-Hoo, I am willing to share my joy with HO scale as well. I still havea few pieces of HO left, guess I need to sell it and take the proceeds to buy MORE N-SCALE!

Heh, I have been known for doing this very same thing.
But we really should train ourselves to check the date of the last post and then, at least, acknowledge the fact that is an old thread!
And there is nothing wrong with bringing an old thread back to life - just say that's what's being done!!

I think that would depend on the topic content/purpose...
If a thread existed to get information on a subject for immediate use, then it might be seen as "old" if it had resolution providing responses provided, and had then been without activity for a week... but a topic may contain an open question that could receive opinion based input months or years later...
In this case, the thread was little more than a generic conversation starter... it quickly died a natural death and sat without input for 4½ years... this could safely be considered "old".
