Help, am I doing something

Help, am I doing something wrong ? I watch the blip tv movies but it shows 6 seconds then buffers for about 5 seconds so a 20 minute show takes almost an hour!

The solution
I have the same thing happen to me, but if you "pause" it at the very beginning, it will still buffer the video.  Then, when the whole thing has buffered and you are ready, just press "play" and watch the whole thing without it pausing or skipping.

All very interesting! I
All very interesting! I watched without issue except the video and audio were not in sync. Of course, for off screen narration it didn't really matter!

Bronman,

Thanks, I'll give it a try with some of the others that I got fed up with and quit watching.

I let the whole episode
I let the whole episode load on iTunes podcast , takes about 20 minutes.  Depends a lot on the servers at BlipTv and your own DSL service...

I had the same problem

I had the same problem video freezing up sound off.

I used Bronman techniques and paused it to let it load and except for two blips it worked fine.

See ya

Subscribing in iTunes

Subscribing in iTunes (there's a link on each episode page, and you can find it in the iTunes store) downloads it to your computer automatically, then you can watch it locally.  That removes any network/buffering issues; the only problem may be if you have an older computer that's too slow to play the file.

There's a balance here; I could make the files smaller and thus faster to download or more likely to stream correctly, but the quality of the video image would go way down.  For the close up images of various N scale bits I don't think that is a good trade off.  I go for the higher quality, but larger file.   The image quality should be on par with DVD quality.

No need to do that, I enjoy the shows and don't mind waiting for the episodes to buffer.

I don't know about anyone else, but my issue is that I have wireless internet service and live at the edge of the coverage area, so sometimes my "highspeed" connection isn't quite so "high", sometimes I can watch streaming video without the video stuttering, sometimes I can't.  It's no biggie and I hope you don't make any changes on my account.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Yowsers! The file is 91

Yowsers! The file is 91 Megs!  That explains the buffer...

I agree with the sentiment of others - I'd rather wait for a better quality video, then get on-demand mediocre...
