Default Kato GS-4 "Wartime Black" re-run?

I've been hoping Kato would re-issue these, I even asked the Kato representative at Trainfest in November about it and got a "we've been thinking about it" response. Just browsed through the new issue of Model Railroader and saw this:

    http://mrr.trains.com/en/News%20and%...ocomotive.aspx

I don't see it on Kato's "release schedule", however it is listed under the "available schemes" and "current models" on their GS-4 page now.

I think I may have just found what steam loco I want pulling my excursion train!

We can only hope but if you read the MR article....it says something to the affect of, "the loco was previously released in this scheme but is now available in Daylight and AFT".....

I think this review was setting on their desk for a year or so and they needed a filler so they stuck it in the mag this month.

When the rep from Kato came to the Oklahoma City train show, he mentioned they were looking to do a steamer different from the Mikado or GS-4. He said the announcement would be towards the very end of 2012. He also mentioned that a lot of people would be happy with the choice as well.

It's confusing...on the MRR site is says, "Kato USA is now offering its N scale SP GS-4 models painted in wartime black, a scheme some locomotives wore until several years after World War II’s end." I don't have the actual magazine...from what I can tell though the last wartime black GS-4s came out was summer 2009...why would they write a review for a loco scheme that's 2 yrs old if it wasn't being offered again? MRR can't be that behind schedule.

We can't get an eastern steam locomotive?
Nothing specific and run by one railroad, although some western items are just that.
But how about a nice running Hudson? Used by several roads and it's variations.

I would like to think either a Pacific or Northern with alligator crossheads as per some railroads.
