And an early run RS-3 to boot. Well, some unsuspecting person will buy it.

I know that there is somewhat of a market for old Rapido coupler/wheel sets for people that still use them...... but I doubt the market is that good!?

I'm not allowed to run the train, the whistle I can't blow. I'm not allowed to say how fast the Railroad Train can go.
I'm not allowed to shoot off steam, nor even clang the bell. But let the damned Train jump the track, and see who catches hell!

That's GOT to be someone gauging interest in the item without wanting to sell it? Looked at the other listings and this one is way out of wack with everything.

    :yikes:

Here is a potential bidding war in progress:

    https://m.ebay.com/itm/Kato-N-Scale-...7d95%7Ciid%3A1

I was the first bidder on the auction, but i bid what I thought was reasonable... I might have gone a little higher even, but once this single Kato car hit $50, I just started watching.

Interesting since I guess that car only came w/ the 4-car add-on set and that set sold out fast... I guess it is high demand...

Yes, and when these were new, I only ordered the 4 car add on along with the power car ( Ex E8B ) P30.

The hobby shop I ordered from asked me about that choice, and I had to explain that most of the 6 car set ( and the sleeper in the 4 car set ) were never used in Alaska and I couldn’t justify that many cars I would never use. ( I believe only the baggage cars, coaches, and dome are right... ) on the E units, the E8As were way out of era for what I was trying to do, having been retired in the 1980s, before the paint scheme used on everything else existed.

Ummm, does evil water inlet allow something that is obviously not new to be listed as "new?"

Good to see that he has rectified this in the description part of his listing. I'm not sure Ebay allows you to modify the title once you listed the item.

I've seen many an item listed on eBay by so-called Big Discount Trains. A misnomer if ever there was one.

    More like "Max Margin Trains."
