Then, I guess I shouldn't offer him $4.25, like what is on the tag in the box, huh? It is said, "They walk among us." I just have to ask, what are these YAHOOs thinking? (OR are they?) LOL

Actually, the Kadee N scale stuff is at least somewhat old/rare/notable, as I believe it predates the Kadee/MTL split. So there is a bit of historical interest I suppose.

Nowhere near $400 worth, but perhaps a bit.

as for the RG dummy, at least it's a straight up auction...

Gotta have it!!! Yeah right.. Of course, at that price it would never go on the layout in case it got damaged. It would spend the next ten years locked away in a vault so it could be resold on ebay at a MASSIVE profit in 2024. By then it should be worth at least $25000 (that would probably be about $4.25 in todays money).

Great weathering job on that RG loco, that is if you are modeling a burnt down loco shed
As long as I can model in N-scale, I know I'm not old

Well one thing is that they are out of production.
This one one is ConCor Rail Barron version, which means it's made in China.
The original ConCor U50's were made with KATO motors and drive and were a lot better than these China made version.
An original will bring a high value normally, if it's in good shape.
Also at least one is prototype, or close to it at least. Only UP and SP ever owned any U50's

Check your's and see if it's a KATO drive or not. Look on the bottom and look for KATO or JAPAN

I particularly love the all caps no punctuation descriptions that they always cut and paste but cant even be bothered to show how much they care about good customer service by even taking an extra 30 seconds on their standard write up remember to contact them if you want to leave less than five star ratings i am really sure i should believe them that these are estate sale items and not just something that fell out the back door of the hobby shop where their kid works

(well that was supposed to be all caps to drive home the point, but the board filters "Fixed" that for me).

Well even though they are not All caps, you were able to get everything in one sentence without any punctuation! Good Job!!!

Speaking of donuts, here's one that I just got done fighting with:

hello im a dc guy not a dcc person it work on my dc layout i did say sold as is
you can send to atlas tell it has the wrong parts i did it to a engine and they replace
no charge some dcc guy said it can run dcc but i don't know about that

Just got to love it. Anymore if I get a response like this with bad grammar, I just pass on the item....

    Not today Skippy!

eBay provides an option that wasn't available to any of us a few years ago. I have a feeling there is an extra zero that shouldn't be there.

Ya just can't fix STUPID! LOL Geeze.

I sometimes wonder if these yahoos do any research on the items they post? Or, if they go back and proof read them? It's just a slip of a decimal point, sometimes.
