I voted, too... Can't remember what for. I would be up for hosting visiting cars, too. Hopefully my scenery can progress some before any arrive on my layout, though, and I do have to install NDJim's bridges too.

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.

Follow up story for the WVR's signing up:

I was sitting in my office at the WVR's Logansport railyard, searching for passenger cars for sale, when there was a knock at my door. "Come on in," I said. Enter Johnny Railwise, the new assistant manager of the passenger service department. "Sir? I have a question," he said. "Go ahead," I replied. "When are we going to get more passenger locomotives? I'm tired of having to request Amtrak send those P42s." We'll manage with that for a little while longer, Johnny," I responded. "I have requested some help from our friends out east and they're sending an old Pennsylvania ALCo PA-1 to help 1400 pull the Zephyr." "That'll be interesting. I guess I'll be going then, with my question answered," Johnny said. "Good day, sir."

That went better than I had expected.

    Charles,
Don't forget to put a link in the first thread, to the photo thread when that is set up.
Also, let me know when it hits the road, and I'll update the Registry.

So it's looking like the PRR departure date is set for November 7th. The sign-up will remain open until it is other-wise announced.

I was just doing photos for the NSN2014 Photo Thread today, and I'm wondering if I should question the wisdom of signing up to host a PA1.

I think the curves on my layout might have a few arguments in place against it

If it's a dummy, then it can just pose for photos... Maybe I can have some scenery by then.

At least a dummy loco might be cheaper to ship if there isn't the weight of a motor inside.

Looks like it's at it's last stop, so if anyone else wants in now's the time. Otherwise it's headed back home.
