    Default Burnt/Burning Locomotive

    Hi Everyone,

This is a fairly quick paint-up of a burnt out locomotive. It's not quite done, but I thought I'd share it. My club is working on a module where there is a derailment and fire as centrepiece. This locomotive was pronounced mechanically dead a long time ago, so one of our members pulled out the frame and replaced it with an LED flicker board. The idea is that it will be burning on the layout, complete with smoke and flame, but the model itself has to be convincing that it is and has been on fire. This is where things stand before adding the final scorch marks from the smoke and flame plumes:

This started out as a Lehigh Valley locomotive, and you can still see some of the logo through the surviving paint.

It's not quite finished, and while not as detailed as some things I like to do, it hopefully works a convincing fire-damaged locomotive.

    It reminds me of "Duel".

It could star in a horror move, "The Phantom of the Railyard".

Or "Nightmare on Elm Street Crossing".
