    Default Citx ac4400cw

    Hi Guys

I know Kato brought out this liveried loco in the dark ages, and it's been difficult for me to obtain one without paying stupid money. So.....I'm going to be buying a "regular" loco and respraying it. Does anyone know what shade of blue this loco should be? I look at Conrail, and it seems ok in some photos, but not in others. Also, does anyone know which Microtrains decals are correct for one of these locos?

You may have to add a little black to Conrail blue to get the right shade.

I would use Highball Graphics decals, set LN-156.

This will give you an idea as what color to match. I sold these back in January to one of the members here.

Did you ever get this project going? I definitely have one kicking around in a box, if you want me to see how it's holding up. Totally out of era for me!

No, not yet Mate. Would you consider selling it in the future?

Oh, definitely. It's DCC, too, I think it has an MRC non-sound decoder.

I have a lead on one on ebay, with Thursday being the closing date! It's a 1006 and has a decoder already fitted. Currently I'm the highest bidder at £59.53, which is $80.46 at today's exchange rate. The locos is based in the UK as well. Fingers crossed....
