Default Model Power Pacific Smokebox cover?

Pulled out my 4-6-2 Model Power pacific yesterday from the wall case and found that it had no smokebox cover! The damned thing always was a little loose, liking to fall off the front. I searched low and high for it in the train room, no dice. I did cut one off of an Atlas/Rivarossi shell that will fit just fine (with some glue) but would like to have the original. I'm guessing that they're made of unobtanium?

There is a vendor going around the shows on East Coast with the final supply of MRC/MP steamers (as well as a big box of parts). I bought a couple of units from him this past weekend and he gave me some free parts since the units I bought had issues -- and were priced accordingly (parts included a boiler face plate that I was missing on another unit). If I see him in Edison in a couple of weeks want me to buy a face plate for you? (by the way -- I think that the undecorated units had multiple styles of boiler face plates so there should be some extras floating around -- I think I read that on Spookshow).

Mac, PLEASE do! I'm a long ways from the East Coast, so I doubt they'd ever show up around here!

Let me see if I have an extra from when I ruined one of mine. If I don't get back with you, remind me!

I thought I posted this but maybe my internet reset or something -- anyway, this is the boiler / smoke box cover I got from this vendor (and the unit that needed a new face). Fit perfectly so happy to have re-found this source of parts (also happy that color is correct since I did not pay attention enough to that). Will look if I can go to Edison show.

Was it you, SooLine, that was trying to cast the smoke box door? If so the part may still be with the casting stuff.

@P-LineSoo - I got your Smokebox cover (i.e., my wife let me go to the trainshow, the guy was there, and there was another smokebox cover -- so stars were aligned).

It was $3 (plus shipping to send it). PM me your address and I will send Monday or Tuesday.
