Default Oklahoma City Train Show (Dec 2 - 3, 2017)

    All,

We (various N scale groups in Oklahoma and surrounding territories) have an N-Trak layout at this show. Here are a few shots of today's action:

Pre-show testing, trying to get all the boosters in phase, find shorts, etc.: (note: the blue whale is actually an Oklahoma landmark)

This process managed to severely affect the decoder... fortunately, I am now in the habit of packing a small computer with JMRI: drop the locomotive on the programming track, write all CVs from the existing file, and viola! Off we go.

SP manifest, on an Oklahoma City based module (I think... not sure exactly where this module originates).

    That's all for now!

Various pictures from today, all from the NTRAK layout (there were others, and I probably should've wandered over to the T-track setup, but I spent most of my time at our layout).

Feel kinda bad about this one... was showing him that I could move 64 Kato bethgons with just one of the MRL ACes. So he tried that with his ACe and the roadrailer train and there was too much drag; hence the second locomotive.

    Is this the whale? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Whale_of_Catoosa

Pretty neat feature to add to a module. Captures the almost-toy-like fun of NTrak while still being prototypical. Cool!

It is indeed. Other modules feature Oklahoma landmarks along Route 66 such as the round barn in Arcadia, OK.
