Default DCC Decoder Converter 3 Wire to 2 Wire

I'm looking into getting a PSX-ARSCFB for a reversing loop, which is an auto reverser that can throw a snap coil switch and provide feedback. It is designed for a 3 wire snap-switch, such as Atlas, and not Kato.

I found a DCC Concepts 3 wire to 2 wire converter, which looks like it will take the 3 wire output of the PSX-ARSCFB and allow me to use it with a Kato switch machine.

Does anyone have any experience using these two parts together? Hopefully the kind that doesn't involve lighting $100 on fire

I use the converters, took a while to get here, but they work well

Did you look at an Azatrax unit? They make two models, one for 3-wire and one for 2-wire. http://www.azatrax.com/automatic-reverse-loop.html

I looked at the Azatrax unit, but what I like about the PSX is that it will flip the switch when the polarity changes, so I don't have to worry about installing sensors. There's a time and a place to have train detection, but I'm not at that point yet.

My other idea is to keep using the Digitrax AR-1 that I have, and hook up an Arduino with a motor shield to detect the momentary short circuit and throw the switch that way, which will save me almost $100 if I can make it work, which is debatable.
