    I didn't watch the whole thing but I don't see why I would want to control my layout from the house next door. I don't see any advantages to using a controller more remote than an attached wifi controller. I guess the best use would be a virtual model railroad club where most operators are sitting behind a computer at home watching a camera over the layout. MQTT is a standard cloud messaging protocol used send control messages and receive sensor readings.
