    Default Micron Art service

    My fellow nScaler's

As a result of feedback received from you all, on 1 August 2018, I placed an order with MicronArt for two of the vehicles in their range.

Due to currency exchange rate differences between the local currency and the US Dollar, it wasn't cheap but I felt that the evident quality of the items would be worth the extra cost, and so placed the order via PayPal.

MicronArt made no attempt to contact me.

As it usually takes two weeks for items to arrive from the USA, I then sat back and waited.

Four weeks have now gone by and I am still waiting!!

I have sent emails to Micron asking if the order was received and if so, when it was despatched, but to date no reply has been received.

    Should I be concerned?

    Thanks.

    Komata,

I would be if I were you. I had a similar problem with a retailer and contacted PayPal disputing the payment stating the order was not received as well as the attempts I had made to contact the retailer, essentially, the same issue you are having. While it took a couple of weeks, PayPal refunded the totality of my payment.

If they (Micron Art) stated 2 weeks for delivery and it has now been 4 weeks, with no response from Micron Art, I'd definitely start the dispute process with PayPal and get your money back, no question.

Regardless of the feed back you received from the guys here, you need to act in accordance with your specific situation. Perhaps in the past they (Micron Art) have been good, but that doesn't seem to be the case with you.

Tony. Thanks. I'll give it another week 'just in case' then contact PayPal.

One of us could call them on your behalf... if that would help. Save you international calling charges? PM me if interested.

I like their products but their website is a bit awkward to navigate. I was not aware you could even order via their website. Always saw the links to other sites.

Hope it works out for you.

Steve: Thank you for the offer, but for the moment I will let things stand, and hope that MicronArt's owner responds to my emails. Who knows, the package might even arrive... I'll keep everyone posted.

An update received today from the Owner / Manager of MicronArt which might be of interest:

It will take a few days to fix all this.
If you would prefer, feel free to cancel
    your order.

I'll let you know when our computer is working'.

It would have been nice to have known that ahead of time!!

Unfortunately, I will have to cancel as I am under a time constraint with an exhibition due in October and no certainty that my order will even be processed. Oh well.

Thanks for your help folks, it has been appreciated.

(Now to battle PayPal to retrieve my funds... )

I agree with Steve, you wont have a problem with PayPal at all, especially if you can provide them a copy of the email you (finally) got from Micron Art.

That being said, I'd keep that email and tell them you want to cancel the order as they offered to do. They then should refund you via PayPal.

    Thanks folks.

    PayPal!! Oh dear, 'taint simple!!

What I want isn't covered by any of their categories:

It's not a dispute, so it can't be 'Resolved', so it doesn't fit into the 'Disputes Resolution' box

The 'Seller' (Micron) didn't refuse ; they just didn't receive the money.

PayPal still holds the money, but there is no way to get to them to tell them this.

Their 'Contact us' section is running me around, and around and....

And apparently, before they DO return my money there is an ADDITIONAL charge to redeposit it into my acount...

'Taint easy, although I DO still 158 days left before the matter runs out...
