Default Old Forge - Thendra - Big Moose Train

My wife and I have spent the past four days in Old Forge in the Adirondacks in NY; the main reason for the trip was to take the Train Ride from Thendra (just outside of Old Forge) to Big Moose to the north of Old Forge.

Some shots of the train and the two Stations, Thendra and Big Moose:

And the Trains that took us:

Hmmm, Big Moose, that's Moose's kind of station! Thanks for sharing!

We saw one of your relatives in the hotel where we stayed as well; although, I don't think Moose would approve as it was hanging on the wall above a huge fire place. He looked peaceful and happy though

Yeah hey would be. They are brand new and run over a 6 mile section of the track between Thendra and Big Moose. They have 6 of them and can be rented for $48.50 for the duration. They also have a speedster that they use to "courier people" as well.

My wife and I were going to give them a try but ran out of time. Maybe next time if we can get (con) two other people to go with us.

Not sure however, it is a privately owned railway so when the Pedal Cars are in use - the big trains are all tucked up nice and tight in bed

At the end of the day though, who ever rents the pedal cars does so of their own volition. I'm also certain that the insurance company (whoever they are) doesn't have an issue with it all ... if they did, they wouldn't have covered the railway for them.
