I apologize for being away for so long. I went on a week vacation that turned into a two week odyssey that is still manifesting itself. Regardless, I am back, at least part-time, and have some great news for everyone.

I just authorized our system technicians to upgrade the server to a dual core processor. That is a huge step up from our previous processor and I believe it will solve the recent service slowdowns and outages. Preliminary data is already showing an improvement in resources and processing in the 20 to 40 percent range. That is a significant impact that should give us quite a bit of room to breathe (and grow).

I apologize for all the problems in the past couple of weeks. I hope that you all find the site a much more enjoyable place to visit.

First I would like to say welcome to nscale.net, we hope you enjoy the site. Second, even if we needed that kind of power, we couldn't begin to afford it. That said, if you would like to donate the 3600 dollars (approx.) per year it would cost, I could have use on a quad core poweredge by this afternoon! ;-)

If I were to get you a server, I would BUY IT and put it in whoever's house has the largest pipe available (and who doesnt mind the noise of a server). Maybe for Christmas! We will see. Well I gotta go make some coffee. Im still under the table and dreaming! Hope you all have a good day!

I have already started

I have already started installing a gigabit ethernet routher and will be attaching it to  OC12 fiber connection.

Waiting for Christmas......

(oh and I picked out the Dell Poweredge server and saved it to my Dell Account. It came in around 11k. Gosh, Christmas can't come fast enough!!)

what in the name of everything holy did you put in the server to make it 11 thousand dollars? 15 of everything?

OK OK, so I went a little bit overboard. I just wanted to account for the stability I get from the datacenter we currently use. So I added some redundancy and backup, etc.
