Worth it?

I would have to know how much it would cost me to buy first. Of course as I don't model the North Eastern US or New Haven it might not really make much difference. Still, it's an awesome loco, and I easily stand to own one for display purposes... It's one of many things I fell that would be nice to see done, but at the current rate don't imagine it will be soon. Shame too really... Dennis

Cost estimate

The closest I can guess would be based on the OMI Milwaukee EF/EP4 Little Joe MSRP $850.00 (online dealers had them for $699.00 however). Since the New Have EP5 is relatively close in size to the Little Joe, this would be my best guess for MSRP. Undecided

But none of it matters if there is not enough interest for OMI to consider production. And based on the poll results so far.... it does seem this is one model that will never be produced other than kitbash or scratch built. Frown

This poll is primarily for, but not limited to, those who model, or are considering to model, heavy electric traction in n-scale. This is the New Haven EP5 "Jet" in McGinnis paint scheme

The New Haven EP5 has never been modeled by any manufacturer in n-scale. Overland Models Inc. (OMI) has modeled this loco in the past in HO and O scale.

If offered by OMI, would you consider buying a n-scale brass New Haven EP5?
