Questions for the Administrators

I am new at using this site.... If some one could expalin something I would appricate it.

I posted a comment to a post earlier this evening.... I came bace later to correct a misspelled word and I lost 3 points?

Not that how many points I have means much but did I do something wrong?

I just posted pictures of my last layout in my Gallery.

Question: Did I do it correctly? Is is going to show up as a post on the list of recent forum activity?

 

 

....something wrong with the home page.

Tonight the right hand column is located at the bottom of the page. I had to scroll all the way down to find it.

The left hand column is completely missing.

At first I thought that my window was too narrow. (That happened on my old computer.)
But, I opened the window to full screen and the problem remained.  (I now have a 24 inch flat panel wide screen monitor.)

If its just me, let me know and I will go away and eat worms.

On other forums I participate in you can select a setting which allows you to get email alerts when someone responds to a post, I cannot for the life of me find that on this site, I have to bookmark it and manually check up on it.

Please advise.

I posted a new subfolder named Leafpeeping into my Gallery last night.  The subfolder IS there, I can view it in the Gallery, but cannot access the new subfolder to addthe photos in it to a blog post or forum post.  The subfolder doesn't show up in the list.  Is it not automatically updating or something?

I plan on posting a number of photos in my Gallery and also in  a post. Can you give me a run down on the best size I should formate them for... I will be using photoshop... Thanks

  So I am wondering what the deal is or was. I was unable to even get to this site from 12PM CDT to 8PM CDT,(middle Tennessee USA). Are the routers selective to where nodes from certain parts of the US come from? I am just wondering.............

....that pop up next to my cursor on the home page do not bother me that much.

I am just curious about them.

They pop up when I cross a link, then go away in a matter of seconds.

If they have some significance, what does '42.032974' mean?

Just wanting to know why I am being told that I do not have permission to access the forums... Adam A.

Is there a way to select what portion of a photo becomes the thumbnail?  Why if by clicking the "create thumbnails now" box when adding photos to the gallery, sometimes the resultant thumbnail is a reduced version of the big picture, and sometimes it is just an unflattering section of the big picture?

Also, why can't the "jump to" menu on the gallery page be in alphabetical order?  It is on the menu you use to select a picture when adding one to your post.  I really do not mean to complain, but it is frustrating.

Is it me or is the email notification still not working?

I have tried the described steps but still nothing.

We need this to work.

I ahve not been able to access the picture gallery for the last 2 days. Get a Database error: "An error has occured while interacting with the Database."

For a small town wood station like Atlas's Maywood Station, or Walther's Golden Valley depot, how far should the leading edge of the structure (not the platform) sit back from the near rail of the track?   

Also, how common or uncommon would it be to have the diverging leg of a turnout to a near by siding passing through the station platform, just past the station/depot building?

I am at an impasse for the moment. I have the plan for my benchwork but how do I fit what I want to include on the layout on it? In order to ask the question I need to upload a scan of the benchwork. How does one do that?

Both at home and here at work the Home page only displays the content of the center frame. The ususal pictures of the day on the left and the various links on the right are gone. Is it my systems or has something changed?
