Well Moose, you made your post while I was preparing this one! Luckily, it seems to fit!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Trying to get this thread back on the track that Bob (first post) and Ron (second post)originally envisioned when the thread was first started, but here is a picture taken last Thanksgiving (November 2008) at the Amtrak station in Tampa, Florida. I have no idea of the story behind this rather disheveled looking passenger car!

However, it seems it might well be the subject for handling that short siding you have somewhere on your layout that otherwise would receive no use at all.

The picture has been sitting around waiting for me to post it, something I obviously never did! This however, seems a good time to do it, even if might not quite fit in with the original suggestions!

Side note on the Tampa station, the Amtrak trains always back into the station!

This image is from a Private Album:

This imag is from a Public album:

Um, I hate to be a bother, but I do not see the picture or a link to it.

Um, I hate to be a bother, but I do not see the picture or a link to it.Now that's interesting, I see the picture in both my post and your quote. Here is a link to it:

This link is to a Private Album:

http://www.nscale.net/forums/picture.php?albumid=8&pictureid=498

It is located in a private album, maybe that has something to do with it? But there are other pictures in that album that I have used previously wothout any issue!

This link is to the same picture in a Public Album:

http://www.nscale.net/forums/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=499

Edit: And if I click on the link just above that works too!

I see the link in yout last post, but all I get is a blank page when I click it.

Does everyone else see it?

If it's your Private Album, you will obviously be able to see it (as can I, since I see everything)... Others will not see the Album or its content, but should see the image if you've inserted it into a post.

It would be good to hear from others as to whether they can see the image or not!

BryanC,

I cannot see the image at all even when I click on the link. I get a new browser window that is empty (or looks empty). I am using IE 8.

It's visible from here (a regular member login), so it's not a site privileges issue.

This image is also in a Private Album.
Is it visible to those whom can't see BryanC's post image?

As a test, I have also placed the image in my Public Album. Both earlier posts have been updated to include the image from both albums and also to provide a link to the image in both albums!

Please let us know the result of this. If all can see the Public one, we need to figure out why some can see the Private Album and some cannot! Otherwise it is something else altogether!

I believe this thread has strayed way out of the bounds of photography. :(

I don’t believe it can be used for a “July Photography Thread” any longer.

What does management say?

See ya
Ron

[Admin note] And it has now been split off into its own topic.

Not here.

(I just found out that a post must have more than 10 words.)

That was surprise to me to. I don't usually have to worry about too few words :) I usually use to many :D

Well, who can see both images, who can see the public album one only and who can see neither? :head-wall::slap-head::innocent:

My (Admin) view is not a fair one, as "I see all".

But from a secondary (regular member) login, I still see all the images you've posted.

XP & IE8

If I logout and come back in as a "lurker" I can see both images and both links work! XP and IE8 also.

Note: When the thread was split, whoever did it, didn't include my post with the two images! I have moved it over so it is now the first post in the thread.

That's because that post was to and on the subject of the original thread... this thread was about the image visibility in the original thread, and the image in question was covered in quotes and links contained in the split off posts.

I should have included a link back to the original thread.

I should have included a link back to the original thread.Yeah, but while the quote was there it didn't include the update for images from both album; just the links. And that was what all the visibility questions were revolving around!!!!

Bryan
4th Jul 2009, 10:42 AM
I don't think there was ever a question about the visibility of the public album image, only the one in your private album, and that's what's in the quote.

I also believe you updated your original post to include both images about the same time the thread was being split.

I only see the public pic, and I see no image in any signature.

Me too, me too, me too, me too, me too.
