Some quick shots I took yesterday in Alexandria, Va. First shots using my new Tamron lens on my Nikon D-40. 18-270MM. One lens replaces 2 of my others.

Great pictures rkbufkin!! :D You're braver than me to get through that traffic we had around here yesterday. Worth it though, the lens works great!

Very nice pictures, indeed.

I wish you had shown some comparison shots at both ends of the zoom.

Does this mean that Amtrack is still using the little step stool to board passengers?

I thought they went away with steam.

Amtrak still uses them where there are low-level platforms.

Great shots rkbufkin .... How fast is your new tamron lens ? Just curious , Is it a true 18-270 with the sensor size of your camera ?....
