I have always had trouble positioning very small styrene parts in place, to glue them to another piece of styrene. The problem was that every type of tool I would use, would either put a mark on the small piece, or else slip on the small piece.

I cut a piece of plastic 1/8 x 1/8 x 3 and glued a small piece of eraser on the end. I then sanded it to round the tip of the eraser. I can now move these small pieces around, making very fine adjustments, apply pressure to the joint, and then apply solvent cement.

I probably could have just sharpened the eraser end of a plain pencil, but I like the small size of this “positioner”.

Very nice idea, Gary. You could also use a small eraser from inside a mechanical pencil ... just about the right size already.

You have such great ideas Gary! Thanks for posting these items.

Do you still sell tools? There are a couple you have I would like to buy instead of trying to make.
