Just found an Amtrak AME-7 shell on Shapeways. Has anyone here attempted this build? It seems that it would be challenging at best.

Working on it. bought 2, cleaned and painted them, per the IHC website they should fit on the ED75 chassis. Detail is excellent. Best bet for pantographs is to buy a Bachmann HHP-8 shell and use them from that.

Mike Bartlet at IHP is a stickler for details. The AEM-7 will make an excellent model. Several members of the N Scale Traction Yahoo Group have built these locos.

I have posted it before:

It is a very straightforward and enjoyable project. The best Shapesway shell I have ever worked on.
I have posted the building process on the Shapesway comment column. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.
*Use the new Tomix ED75 chassis, it will blow your mind.
