Here is the thread to post your photo for the month.

This month's theme will be: Steam era

As a reminder any photo is acceptable as long as its your own, it was taken within this month and it can be either a model or the real thing.

Anything from the steam era is acceptable - loco's, rolling stock, structures.......

Hopefully with the summer months some can get out and check out the rail museums, or maybe you have something on your layout.

Please remember to share something about your photo - technique, equipment etc

So let's see what you can find

to be pendantic, as the steam era ended many years ago, and need to submit pictures taken this month, isn't this an impossible mixture? perhaps "things from the steam era" ?

Well let me try this then...
I don't model the Steam Era, but I own a model from the Steam Era (Transition really but it is a Steam Locomotive...)
Now what is defined as the steam era? is this prior to diesels or does this extend till Steam locomotive are just about taken off of every Roster?
(might have to forgive me, first time posting in the photo challenge)

Taken with a Nokia smartphone (Windows)
Minor editing with PB and cropped the image a bit.

After trolling everyone's favorite online auction site for months this spring, I scored a spectrum auxiliary tender to complete my 765 excursion set!

Used a point and shoot on aperture priority, and shot it closed all the way, in this case F8 @ 1/30th 15.5mm

re shot with SLR (Canon 40D) this morning, I wish I could get a sharper image but, shooting indoors in relatively low light is a struggle.

shot at F22 for maximum depth of field @ 1 second 60mm, on tripod

Hey CM.... aren't we a month or two behind here? I liked this thread(s) - even if I wasn't able to contribute on a monthly basis...
