So, I've been hacking away at a running layout the last two weeks. Frustrating, but got it done. I don't love how I did the wiring installation, wires tend to go everywhere. I have a spoke and wheel setup, which isn't conducive to clean wiring that I have yet to discover. Each hub is a 6 point distribution block out to the feeders and the point motors. Since each hub is roughly in the middle of it's area, there are wires everywhere. If I keep thinking about it, I might get to a way to make this ...
So, as I've been going on, I have realized the original design did allow for reversing, but it took some work and didn't allow to continuous run anything. So, I'm ripping up a lot of the layout to fix that. I've got a new design, including a new Anyrail file to show what I've changed. At a minimum, the two reversible loops (orange/yellow) are now able to be used as a larger continuous run. The trick will be to use block detection so that when a train enters one of the loops, the turnouts are triggered ...
