  2. Finding the best Kato Unitrack track planning software that is free

    Hello Fellow N-Scalers,
    I was looking through some track planning books and I came across two layouts in a book called 101track plans. #58 Grand River Western RR & #97 Philadelphia &Reading System. 1st of all I don't own a Computer, 2nd I couldn't draw a straight line If my life dependent on it.
    I suppose I would have to use a Computer in order for me to see how many pieces I will need to design the Layout of my choice. Which ever Layout I choose I plan on making some minor ...

  3. Video of a milestone for me- 8 trains running (with one out of view)

    Running on DC, I managed to get things running on all available routes. In order, they are-
    Santa Fe El Capitan
    B&O Capital Ltd
    UP City of San Francisco
    PRR freight transfer to B&O yard

  4. Tiny Sensors for location detection

    So, one problem I don't like about N scale, is that to get reasonable sized sensors for things like location, you don't have as many options. I wanted a way to put a notification sensor to tell me when a train passes a location. Use IR or Hall, right? Well, they are big and clunky really. I did find a Youtube of a guy who did something clever. He put an IR and Photodiode into a tiny package to fit in between the tracks. Well, that would work for me, so I tried the same thing, and it works.
