Just received a new Digitrax DT602D throttle. I needed a good second throttle and was looking forward to this for a while. So far, I like the new screen (easier to read) and larger buttons. I am...
Just make sure that the construction adhesive you use is labeled foam safe. Some are but some aren’t and will degrade the foam.
Can you bid - $10.50? That would bring the total cost down below $30.
This is a beautiful station on an incredible railroad. Good luck. I will follow your build thread eagerly.
I have used the side holes on my Peco turnouts run by Tortoise switch machines. I have never had a problem with the throw bars so far, although I make sure to remove the spring that holds the points...
Maybe try MooseMooseGo instead.
Mystery noise solved!
I contacted BLI and, as usual, their customer service was great. I wound up sending them the movie file. Here is their detailed response:
Dan:
Thank you for the videos....
It is definitely a sound effect - when you hit fn 8 it goes off; when you lower the volume by multiple presses of fn 8 it lowers. But, it seems fully linked to the general engine sounds, as I cannot...
I just purchased a new Paragon 3 BLI Alco PB unit in Daylight Colors to consist with my two Kato E8/9s (not sure this is prototypical, but it was the easiest way to get sound for the two silent...
Do emojis banging their head against the wall count as photos? Do they protect one from being stampeded?

That is really fine benchwork, but I thought the arches were to avoid sharp edges upon which to smack one’s head into while crawling under the layout? Wish I’d added some!
I decided that the best height was better judged by eye than by trying to follow the prototype. These poles are a little over 30 scale feet in height. I strung the EZ Line using a device I...
I wear Optivisors and have a string of bright LEDs above to illuminate the work. I like the portability of these.
Just finished assembling Showcase Miniatures telephone poles. A little weathering and they look great. Question: what is the right height for N scale? The prototype poles are usually about 40 feet,...
Thanks for posting. I have been modeling slip coaches without knowing it for years - every time one of my couplers fails!
Anyone using Digitrax considering upgrading to their new D602 throttle?

Welcome aboard! Ask lots of questions - there is a lot of expertise collectively on this forum. It has saved me from a lot of grief many times. And post photos of your progress.
I think you see shipping costs when you check out.
There is a place in the upper right corner where you can change the language from Chinese to English.
I went to the seller's Hong Kong website directly (rather than through EBay) and placed an order on June 6th. Amazingly, I received the light units on June 11th. The total price for 6 units was 160...
Nice painting and weathering job. I like the scenery as well - are the background trees models or real?
One year follow-up: I applied No-Ox last July. Before then I was cleaning track twice at least twice a month or more. Lots of stalls. In the past year all I have done is to take a dry paper towel and...
When I’ve installed DCC boards in Kato engines with those little gray clips I’ve either used Kapton tape or a touch of solder to make sure the contacts touch. The gray clips don’t hold tightly enough.
Looks like they have a “standard” version (white) and an “advanced” version (dark). Which one did you get? The one on EBay (no longer there) looked like the device was white or clear?
