    Drilling "starter holes" is a good idea and will prevent the 1" from cracking. As for the "wire holes through the foam", I'd probably go with a 1/8" or 1/4" drill bit - easier and quicker...

    Clayton, Yep that is exactly what I meant ......

    Yep that is exactly what I meant ... no OSB, PVC or PLY just the two 2 X 2" layers of foam glued together. All you'd have to do then is work out how to attach the 1" X 6" boards around...
