Purchase one of the Deluxe Innovations chassis kits, make a resin mold of the tires and landing gear, then build scratchbuild a longer chassis. Make a mold of the longer one, then cast up as many as you want...

Resin molding, while I am not sure how difficult this can be, does not sound simple enough for my patience level. Sounds like I'll have to wait for someone to manufacture them.

alan curtis models made 20 ft. - 53 ft. resin chassis kits, but judging by one of your other posts where you mentioned curtis, thokuh, i'm guessing you already knew that.

The fact Alan is going out of buisness doesn't help things any, either.
I could probably scratchbuild one, but i don't have any practice casting anything. I really ought to learn.

How about taking a Deluxe Innovations chassis and stretching it with the apropriate sized styrene? Actually, I think I'm going to have to try that.

I was thinking about that too, but I am hoping that they'll start producing kits for the different sizes to match there containers. Hmm, I just ahd a thought. Is it even possible to take two 40's and make one 20' and one 53' by just a few choice cuts?

    I know it's a old post. . . .
I just purchased three sets of 53' chassis form Nscale kits. here's the link http://www.nscalekits.com/

My only problem now is finding 53' trailers for spine cars. I know deluxe innovations makes them...

Peter of Nscale Kits took over Alan's like of kits when Alan got out of the N-scale business a while back. Glad to see he's getting things stocked back up. Once my wallet recovers from the last MT and Walthers orders, Peter might be seeing some of my cash.

Yeah I was glad to see him buy the Alan Curtis line... Finally saved up money to add to my spine car fleet and then I found out Alan Curtis was all sold out...

    BUMP!
Kato is extendable intermodal chasis, they extend from 40' to 53'. I assume that means they work with the 53' containers that comes with the Maxi IVs. The set includes a tractor trailer and a 40' container.

Note: I didn't see it posted anywhere else, and thought this topic would be an ok place to put it.
