This is for older equipment, but I guess the dirt hasn't changed much over the years. http://www.steamfreightcars.com/index.html

I have a few pics you're welcome to check out. Go here and the guest password is "trains". Go to the Prototype Train Photos page and the back pages have more rolling stock. http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...rain%20Photos/

Here are a couple sites from my favorites folder:

    http://freight.railfan.ca/

    http://southern.railfan.net/flat/flat.html?

    Hope this helps.

Oh, and BTW, if all your rolling stock is looking the same try some new techniques and materials and do a few with them, then repeat as necessary. There are a million different ways to weather, and at least as many articles and forum posts describing techniques. It won't hurt to try as many as you can.

Just my nickel's worth of free advice.

Thank you all so very much. All are great sites. I will keep them in my favorites list.

Once again I am so happy to have found nScale.net.

Go to the biggest and best railroad picture site: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org Look up each railroad alphabeticly and enjoy thousands of great pictures of about every piece of equipment that ever rode the rails! Have fun. Let me know what you think. Adam Arnold.

Pick up a couple of the rolling stock color guides from Morning Sun Books. They cover many railroads up through the 1970s (and some up to present-day) and have photos of all kinds of rolling stock, not just boxcars.

You might also try this site. They have pics of rolling stock specifically.
