    Default Anthracite Railroads Hist Soc

Contact the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society, http://arhs.railfan.net. They are based in Lansdale, PA. I have been a member for almost 10 years now. Good source of info.

    Default LV Paint

Problem is, I have yet to find what color Lehigh Valley coaches were painted up at that time. Does anyone know?
Cornel Red was one of the colors. Microscale has decals for these cars. Years ago I was able to purchase original LV Paint Diagrams from the ARHS. There are several books that have been published. Hope this helps....Dave

Default Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help. But I am trying to paint up some coaches from the late 1800s early 1900s in Lehigh Valley. Does anyone know what color I can use for these cars? They were in use before Cornell Red became the standard passenger color.

    Default LV coaches

Rutkong,Try googling fallen flags for their website and maybe one of the historic societies in eastern PA. I did find pictures of hoppers that were white and a drawing of a cab that was white but no luck with the pass cars. the fallen flags site has some nice pix though so give it a shot.Gene

From what I have read, standard Pullman colors - brown then green are highly likely. I’ve only been searching a short time, myself.
