The boys left Sam Hill Junction in the first week of June, headed for Warren, PA (Randgust). They haven't sent any postcards, so I'm not sure what they're up to...

No. Randgust has it, but he had some obligations to take care of before he could post and ship. I do need to check up with him and see how things are going.

closer and closer to the WVR the boys and their caboose get. I'll have to send a brochure out to them at their next stop, so they know what they're getting into when they arrive. hehehe

I'm tempted to sign up for this list now, although my story telling skills are poor to horrible... although I could post a photo and let someone else write the story

Well, you're on the list now, so start dreaming up that story. Really, it doesn't have to be much. Just put it on a "through freight" and take some pictures of it passing through your layout. No story, but we get to see the car and your layout!

I don't know. I just sent an email off to Randgust to see what he knows. This transition involves a border crossing to Canada, so I expect the transit to be slow. I'll report back what I hear.

I'm pretty sure - unless something changed - that I'm the one in waiting.

If so, then just to confirm it has not arrived as of yet.

I just heard back from Randgust. All is well, but a work assignment has kept him from being able to forward the caboose. We should see some movement in the next couple of weeks.

The caboose has arrived safe and sound.

Once I'm done this set of night shifts I will be able to post in the story thread

There's a lesson here for folks starting these types of threads. Never put the actual list in the OP. After a certain, short time period, the OP becomes locked and un-editable, making it impossible to update the list for newcomers.

Better practice would be to introduce the trip in the OP, and post the list in the 2nd post.
