Took a quick stop into the Conway Scenic Depot/Station on Sunday - snapped a few pics. Hopefully the B&M/Maine Central/BAR fans out there will enjoy some of them:

There are a few more photos - they can all be found here - http://www.nscale.net/forums/album.php?albumid=788

    Thanks for looking - Paul

Man I wish we would sticky this thing for the current quarter! I like to have never found it!

Anyway! I have FINALLY captured a train in my favorite train spot! It is an old concrete overpass just south of Wauhatchie Pike here in Chattanooga. Actually my spot is just inside the GA line running south to Gadsden, Birmingham and all points south.....What an unusual train (for me to have seen anyway) it was ALL coil cars. I am guessing from the single locomotive and to my untrained ear (sounded like empty cars hitting the joints in the track vs the really pronounced "Thump") I am guessing the train was headed to Birmingham for a reload.

Anyway! This spot is absolutely beautiful to watch trains! I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did the real thing!

I know, I can never find it either... at least it will be easier now that I've posted to it.
That is a long train for a single loco... and nice spot - great sweeping curve coming out of the distance.

Thanks for keeping the thread going guys. I admit I was a bit burned out on train photography, today was the first time since mid November that I've actually gone out and shot anything. I've done other trips, but changed plans from train photography to something else. A couple close to home for now...

Caught the Cardinal again this morning. Not sure I was all that good with the auto-focus on the fast moving train, though.

I also ran across this interesting little business trackside in South Charleston.

Came upon this mixed freight yesterday, stopped alongside the Amtrak station in Dover.
It was a little unique, 3 PanAm SD 40's (on their home tracks) tied in with 3 BNSF C44's, which I've never seen out here. I also wasn't sure why 6 locos were pulling a short cut of 10 cars, until I looped around and saw the rest of the consist - they had split it to leave the 2 grade crossings unobstructed while it sat there waiting for... something. Not sure what, as there is a passing siding just a short ways back, and these guys are taking up the single track mainline.

A Maine Central Pan Am boxcar sits at the Amtrak loading platform:

Not a great shot, but these BNSF (leading the Pan Ams) units are a rarity around here:

    Parked on the trestle:

The remainder of the consist extends another 3/4 of a mile beyond the grade crossing...

Caught the Beaver Dam local returning to Cecilia on the P&L today.

I've thought about drawing up a trackplan of Cecilia, it might make for interesting operations if someone were to model it.

Chalk up another heritage unit for me. 3 down, 17 to go. Saw the PRR unit today as well, but couldn't photograph it.
