I've noticed we've gotten a lot of newer members recently and the last time this thread was updated was by Rob_H a little over a year ago in 2018.
So how about it, anyone want to add to the thread?

Always nice to put a face to the name?

Don't you just hate it when random civilians walk up to you like they know you and start trying to ingratiate themselves by speaking the lingo? I sure do.

    Hey Gordon,

I never got into action shooting. All I do is reenact. At the moment, cowboy and mountain man. I do belong to a Civil War reenacting group. Terry's Texas Rangers - or -- the 8th Texas cav. We are inactive. As California Civil War reenacting has hit the skids.

Sounds like you have a good time with it, Wolf. My wife and I did the Cowboy Action Shooting for about 20 years, competing at all levels. While fun, the competition is exhausting after a while.

    What the hay???

OK, I'm am idiot, a description of myself which many of you will find apt. Somehow, through my casual conversations with @Moose2013, I got the impression that @tomcook was much, ah, let's say "longer in the tooth.

I can only attribute the discrepancy between reality and impression to faulty interpretation of the Alces alces dialect, which is my responsibility alone.

Although I had expected to see a photo of Tom standing and staring at a dry stone wall, absorbed in deep comptemplation. ...

Whoa Paul, before Tom comes over and knocks the living snot outta Moose, how the heck did you get that impression?

Just because Moose paid compliment to Tom's many talents woodworking, building and so forth, that one might assume took many'a year to develop, Moose never intended to imply Tom was an old cranky geezer like, ummm, someone he and Moose both know...

Well, like I said, Moose, it's entirely my bad for thinking that Tom was somehow older than he is! Arrgh! It wasn't anything thing you'd said at all. I think I'd taken this notion that he'd retired to France.

I hope @Moose2013 and @tomcook will overlook my faux pas. I'm sure it has something to do with my not owning enough N scale steam locomotives!!!
