    Default Walthers Streamlined Pullman Cars My Update

    Walthers N Streamlined Pullman-Standard 10-6 Sleeper, Standard 64-Seat Coach and 72' Baggage Car.
    The result looks like this

    My Updates:
    - DCC decoder Digitrax TL1 in Sleeper and Coach;
    - Electrical wiring for interior lights;
    - Walthers N passenger Car Interior Lighting Kit 933-1099
    - Non blinking systems for interior lights;
    - New wheels from Kato;
    - New MTL couplers in the car's body.

    Such a large number conversions caused by the result of weak technical solution of Walthers engineers particularly in the electrical part.
    Below will focus on some details.

    Walthers N passenger Car Interior Lighting Kit 933-1099.
    As it has appeared Lighting kit from Walthers did not DCC friendly.
    Six smd LED on lighting bar, which are connected in parallel (!), warmed up the voltage stabilizer is very strong.
    As a result, the reflector of lighting bar, car body and roof are melted.

    I cut all the details from the lighting bar and connected the LED through the current stabilizer.

    DCC
    In the all Sleepers and Coaches I installed the Digitrax TL1. In my case its all have one address.

    Electrical wiring in Baggage Car
    Warm white LED through a diode bridge and a 1000 uF capacitor is connected to the DCC bus.

    Non blinking systems
    Capacitors of 200-500 uF and 150 ohm resistors are connected at the output of the each decoder.

    Wheels
    I use the current pickup from Walthers. But the cars run to bad.
    The situation can be better if install new wheels from Kato #932040 in old truck from Walthers.

    But a new problem. The Walthers N Passenger Car in not Kato Unitrack Friendly!
    The car can be derails when it passing from the straight track to the Double Superelevated Curve. I try to change and combine different trucks for the different cars.
    I could not solve this problem for one of the four cars.
