What? The Moose can't wave to the engineer?

That looks really great Moose. Really like the soft curves coming out of the tunnel.

Oh, Moose will wave to, with a clenched hoove - if he ever makes Moose walk along the tracks like that again!

Oh, and thanks for the compliment!

    Looks great @Moose2013 !!

How do they perform when you are backing up or pushing them?

    Thank you Bo, much appreciated!

Honestly, Moose no know. So much clutter on layout, Moose no can get train on level area to check reverse operation or how well the close-coupled coaches work on the #5 turnouts in yard.

When Moose gets a Moosey minute, let me know. I am interested to see if you have the same result.

    Keep up the great progress!

Moose get around to replacing pizza cutter wheels on boxcars and cabeese, including the addition of a "restraining" spring on the Minitrix caboose...

You just might notice that the Minitrix yellow U.P. caboose has "long extension" couplers - prototypical for pre-WWII U.P. cabeese?

Is that Borg caboose second hand Moose?
Looks like someone had'em and just used'em.
I'd replace them with a shorter extension.

Thank you! Have only pulled it with a recent production run Bachmann 2-8-0, but it worked fine that locomotive.

Moose spend all morning learning how NOT to weather tunnel portals for steam locomotive smoke residue ... After all of that time wasted and still no can run anything on layout, Moose need something to but a step back in Moose... Hence, Moose run train on test track:

    1_Bachmann_J_Class_NW_20200301_105451.jpg

Side note: The MRC sound decoder that Moose installed in this locomotive, well, kinda sucks. Sound is not very good, and motor control is not up to Moose standards. Ohhh well...

Shoot, some black weathering powders, an old modeling paint brush, and a bit of practice on scrap paper ought to "git 'er done!"

    @Moose2013

    here's what I would do:

mix black and white weathering powders 50:50 and apply then blend in some darker or lighter shades of gray.

btw if you don't have white, plaster will work.

Default BLI Milwaukee Road Train Takes a Spin Around the Layout!

Moose finally managed to clean the train room just enough to run trains. Yea!

This beastie BLI locomotive is taaaaaa-chy when it comes to clean track and perfect turnout points. Yikes!

Ran 'er forwards and backwards at verious speeds to get 'er broken in a wee bit. Because of some turnouts that need some work and perhaps because the tender and caboose seem a scoch light, the tend to derail when backing up, at least at higher speeds.

The locomotive is loud when compared to other MRC or Digitrax sound decoder equipped locomotives. It's good for knowing where she is in the hidden tunnels and bowels of the layout. Kinda hard to hear Mrs Moose when the locomotive is topside. Not a good thing when Mrs Moose wants Moose for to move furniture around. Yipe!

Moose giving the engineer a wee talk before takin' 'er out for the first time:
    1_BLI_MR_Train_RunFirstTime_20200328_090142.jpg

The train heading past the back side East Port (Moose Port!):
    2_BLI_MR_Train_RunFirstTime_20200328_090837.jpg

The train pulling into the main passenger siding (pay no attention to the disease'el - that's not the locomotive your looking for...):
    3_BLI_MR_Train_RunFirstTime_20200328_091416.jpg

This locomotive really shows a moose where all the dirty track spots are... Gulp!

Well done for getting that track cleaned and locos up and running Now it's time for you to sit back with a beverage of choice, and watch trains going round and round
    Thanks, Tom

Expect nothing except the opposite of what you expect, and then expect it to be something other than that ! Then that's about what it will be
