Another Kato UP 4141 on ebay actually sold for $749! Jeez people. Kato is taking pre-orders, I know it'll be cheaper to get an engine that way. Something something about a fool and their money.

Reitz makes exquisitely modelled trains, but as near as I can figure from the Reitz website, these are sold as kits. There are 150 pieces in the kit. After watching the video and seeing how sweetly it runs and how nicely it is assembled, my guess is that it is not overpriced, though well beyond my train budget.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Kato-N-...1/192750348343

I guess that people did not hear about the re-release, just cannot wait, and/or must have a 1st release of this...?

There are at least two others right now that have been bid up over $500... and that she’ll only I mentioned previously is at $153.

N-scale supply has the MSRP on the new Kato release at $188 with DCC installed, $133 without...

That excursion set plus a 4141 and a 1943 was reduced to $2500...

It's just not N scale that's seeing outrageous pricing, check this one out.

Also notice who the seller is...
