Maybe it can be used like a megaphone to increase the volume on your sound-equipped locos...

Seriously though, I wonder how much of the miss-categorization we see on Ebay is because of their selling 'wizard' (simple view). I found that the first few items I listed for sale were put into HO by Ebay and it was kinda a pain to change their categories... now I make sure to use the more advanced selling tools / views so that I have better control over all these settings.

The seller probably heard that sound is now the hot thing in N-scale.

As an amateur trumpet player (note: don't consider myself a musician or a trumpeter), that is an expensive mute.... Classic Ebay listing. Overpriced and poorly described... Now I wonder if it is DCC?

(although it doesn't beat the partial dentures I saw once in the N scale section...)

An all time new high for this truck. At least there is a "Make Offer" option. For whatever difference that'll make.

I'll only charge you 50% for a partial kit that contains maybe 10% of the original parts. I am so generous, I'll throw in the empty sprues at not extra cost...

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/INCOMPLETE-...cAAOSwiudcR9Cx

Looks to be remains of at least 2 kits. I'd offer $5 if I could...

Wow! At least you can use the sprues for extra piping.

What's even better is that it's invisible! I can't see the pix, so it must be an invisible train station with invisible trains.

EDIT: Pix finally loaded. Hmmm, maybe if I had grandkids. ...

Hey. Those are vintage sprues. Very much in demand by serious collectors.
