As soon as it went over $500, I stopped.

I have the 4 car set and the E8B. I would like another dome and a coach, but, I am not paying these kinds of prices. Just to resell what I don’t want/need.

( if you are wondering, the Alaska E8As we’re off the roster by the end of the 1980s. The rest of the equipment is painted in a scheme that did not appear until the 2000s... and the Alaska never had any streamlined RPOs, sleepers or observation cars.... )

Probably a shill bid by the seller. I can't see anyone paying good money (or bad, for that matter) for this crap. Even at 'free' it's a lot of work to strip those shells and start over.

I think you could get an actual 1:1 RSD-15 at these prices -

When I see things like this, I instantly think, "money laundering" or some other kind of illegal activity. List an item for a ridiculous price. The "buyer" actually is paying for something else entirely, but here's the "legitimate" trail of money.

I would say it's probably a typo. Maybe $24.95. (One unit is a dummy.)

I think saying these idiots are money laundering is giving them too much credit I sent a message to one seller last week asking him to consider an offer on a Bachmann RS2 since I could buy it new on Amazon for $65 less
he replied to me with a request that I have sex with myself. If all of his prices are too high to buy just so I can ding him good for his attitude.
Whats that saying you can fix anything but you can’t fix stupid

Well the key word here is GREED.
I've noticed this over the last several months again. Prices are so much higher than I've seen a long time.
What I've really noticed has the been the cost of shipping again. For something that can be shipped via 1st class mail easily for less than $6 I've seen listed for $10-$12 and higher.

The funny thing about that is several years ago eBay switched their policy so that they take 10% of the final value fee AND 10% of the shipping, so you would think that it would behoove these idiots to keep their shipping down, but it doesn't look that way.

I'm sure glad that most of my purchasing had ended, I have to look real hard to find anything I want or need from eBay these days.
