    Lightbulb Cheap Arduino DCC decoders

I just found this link that shows how to use an Arduino as a cheap ($5) DCC decoder.

I have the embedded programming and electronics experience to have a lot of fun with this. I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried it or what applications you could dream up for something like this.
