Default How do you attach paper to styrene for n scale awnings?

Even those I consider myself an experienced kitbasher, I'm not sure how to attach paper to styrene. For windows I usually use Elmer's stick glue to attach my paper curtains to a styrene clear piece.

I decided to add awnings to some of my DPM building. I found some great cardstock paper at Hobby Lobby and used my wife's craft scissors to put a 'V' shaped edge on the n scale awning. But, if I just glue the paper on, it probably won't stay on. Any suggestions on how to attach paper to styrene for n scale awnings?

Did you cut out something like this?

If you have smooth flat walls, a glue stick should work on the tabs. But if the surface has any kind of texture good old PVA (Aleene's/Elmer's) will fill the gaps.

If the canopy is wide then you might need a support wire frame in the center to keep it from sagging.

I use MICRO KRISTAL KLEAR by Microscale Industries. It's a white glue that dries clear. Made for N scale windows, but attaches anything to other things. Plus remove a glued object, and rub the old glue off. Won't damage paint, or clear plastic. Most hobby shops carry it.
