    Default Arduino + Digitrax Loconet

Hi, My layout makes use of Digitrax DCS100 to control servo motors driven turnouts through Tam valley singlets. I'm planning to set up a locoshield interface between the Digitrax Loconet and an Arduino Mega/TCRT5000 for occupancy detection & power control over blocked sections. Is this viable? Does anyone have experience on this and can shed some light?

Yes, this is feasible, and a lot of the heavy lifting has been done for you already:

I haven't used this library myself, but Alex Shepard, who maintains the library above, is someone I've worked with for a while on open source model railroading software projects.
