So what do you use to remove the paint, if anything?

Well, the isopropyl alcohol worked... it just warped the resin. I have no idea what might work without ruining the resin. I’ve had success in the past soaking plastic parts in Simple Green, but don’t know its effect on this resin...

To strip paint, I use Super Clean, formerly Castrol Super Clean, a degreasing product.
