Moose is not a horrible modeler. Moose just has no opposable thumbs and that makes controlling a fine-tip paintbrush difficult.

Moose should pay Mrs. Moose to do some painting. Mrs. Moose might charge only $65 an hour, union rate for painters.

    Thank you guys!

Moose mostly done with Micro-Trains 36' Wood Sheathed Ice Reefer for West Port ... Still need decals and possibly maybe dull coat afterwards -- as it is all shiny like, kinda looks like its sitting out in the rain, and this is the Pacific Northwest, so seems apropos!

Moose 85% complete with two MT&PRR coal hoppers. These will be used to supply the coaling towers...

Moose no know how to remove base from shell without damaging the model, so haven't been able to paint some of the difficult-to-access bits.

    Still need to apply decals...

Sooo, the weights supplied in the Fine N Scale boxcar kit are waaay too wide. Moose have some weights somewhere in the train room ... Somewhere ... Lost ... Who knows where...

Anyway, the last thing Moose needs to do is determine what couplers and trucks to purchase for these. Moose have some trucks that have the couplers as part of the truck frame, but they don't appear to be compatible with these kits -- the couplers will interfere with the molded-in details...

Plus, the stand-alone couplers come with screws that are waaay too long for the flatcars; maybe Moose can just superglue those couplers in place and dispense with the screws?

Eventually, Moose has to learn to make custom decals for these kits. Yikes!
