I'm stepping into the world of DCC sound... Giving an ESU decoder a try and also gonna give the new Digitrax SDXN decoders a try.

I also need to buy a lot more ground foam and plaster, that should be arriving soon.

It's a Walthers kit, assembled by someone else. Picked it up from Modeltrainmarket on ebay for about $45.

Although these were purchased in late 2018, I finally got around to mounting them on the fascia. Cannot believe I didn't do this earlier. No longer have to worry about a train hitting the throttle I left lying across the mainline.

Got this in the mail yesterday. It's one of the older Life-Like BL-2 models from the early 1990s.
This was gifted to me after I posted that I kinda liked how the BL-2 looked.

I want to thank the person who gifted this to me for such a kind gesture!

I have treated myself to one of these: http://www.prairieshadows.com/catalo...le-mlw-fpa-4/9

    And one of these: http://www.prairieshadows.com/catalo...e-mlw-fpb-4/10

Both in Canadian National (1954) colours.
The mentally ill frighten and embarrass us. And so we marginalise the people who most need our acceptance. What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, more unashamed conversation.

We're not crazy, or insane, we're just people living with a condition.

Isn't it just? A wee bit of weathering to the underframe and bogies, but otherwise pristine to sit looking pretty in front of the diesel servicing point. Not cheap, mind you.......
