It must be documented someplace, these guys actually sell the N scale version - https://www.eurorailhobbies.com/prod...n=8&ca=85&sc=N

    Check the 2017 brochure: https://www.faller.de/xs_db/DOKUMENT...em_2017_EN.pdf

...although the selection is very limited in N scale. I also found a remark on some German forum that Faller discontinued the N scale version, but couldn't find any official source to back that up.

Euro Rail Hobbies has a bus in stock - https://www.eurorailhobbies.com/prod...stock=F-162006 - but not much else. Modellbahnshop-Lippe seems to have a start set in stock: https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com...ppenliste.html

Otherwise, I may have bought the last one 4 years ago....

And of course it is N scale!
    Cheers!

Don't worry, it wasn't really a Cedar !!! The Western Red Cedar was only a Cedar by name, not by nature. It was named a Cedar so that the timber would sell better.

I've got me eye on that big Douglas of yours. Chainsaw is nice and sharp. I'm a carpenter by trade and I see a good few board feet of lumber in her

Well, this is annoying, Moose made a perfectly nice cedar tree ... and then those dag'gum n-scale loggers nipper'd off all its branches. Arrrg!

Sounds like Moose needs to call in back up mooses and protect the trees?

While Moose still ponders how to re-grow branches on a Cedar tree, Moose whittled and painted a Douglas Fir tree ... Yea!

    1 - Douglas Fir Trunk Shaved 20190117_154015.jpg 2 - Douglas Fir Trunk Painted 20190118_063826.jpg

Note: the Western Red Cedar is not a true cedar, it's actually a Cypress, and the Douglas Fir isn't a true fir, it's actually a Pine. What was up when those pesky treeologists or whatever they're called who named these trees? Apparently not everyone was awake during dendrology class the day the professor lectured on the taxonomy of conifer trees!

EDIT: Mrs Moose is of the opinion that, since this "Douglas Fir" tree trunk started out as a Cedar tree trunk and its bark looks like that of a Cedar tree, Mr Moose really ought to make it a Cedar tree! Well, Moose does have to figure this out eventually, sooo, stay tuned for Moose's attempt at making branches that will transform this into a finished Cedar tree. Groan...
